In my never-ending quest to keep this site relevant and to serve the needs of my readers, here’s a poll. Comments are enabled. Suggestions are welcome.

The primary sources you post are fascinating and illuminating. While I don’t usually have time to read all of them, it’s good to know they’re here if I ever need to research the battle.

Harry, The primary sources are fascinating, but most of what you post is of interest and worthwhile, so I wish you had set up a poll that offered us the opportunity to order our interest, rather than choose one. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Ted! Sorry, I’m new to this poll thing. If I can figure out how to do what you suggest, I’ll give it a shot.

I am too! Should I still vote? Or does that distort the results?

I like everything on the site ,of course, but I especially like when you break down a event or person that has become encrusted in myth and legend and try to sort through the different threads. Articles that come to mind in that vein are the ones on Sherman’s battery and who fired the first cannon shot at Bull Run. I really enjoy reading those, especially.
Your reports on field trips to battlefields or historical sites with what type of interpretation you encounter are really fascinating.

Harry, I enjoy your book reviews and original articles in particular; but I agree with the others who have voiced an “all of the above” sentiment. –Russ

This is just a terrific site on all counts. I have spent more time with the primary sources than anything else, but I like the occasional author interviews, articles, etc. I have been to Bull Run more than any other Battlefield and I love to get new insights every week here.
