Harry,

I've been using this site for awhile with my Siege of Petersburg site. GREAT free source of Civil War eras newspapers. I've been meaning to do a blog entry on the various free Civil War newspaper sites I've encountered in my research. Your post is just another push to go get that done soon. One site in particular is an absolute gold mine of upstate New York newspapers during the Civil War (just with an extremely odd user interface): http://www.fultonhistory.com/my%20photo%20albums/All%20Newspapers/index.html
