Not sure why you expected a memoir. But if that’s the kind of stuff you’re looking for, you may want to check out “No Disgrace to My Country”: The Life of John C. Tidball”, which uses his letters, diaries and memoirs.

It appears to me to be an overview artillery activities during the war.
