It's been years since I purchased a copy of Civil War Times, this should be a good issue. I have always admired Eric Campbell and have talked to him during our yearly October encampments at Belle Grove. Also, I can say that Frederick R. Adolphus' work on late war Confederate uniforms is well worth the purchase as well as Kevin Walker's work on Antietam Farmsteads.

Here's what I don't get: Bonekemper's chart with casualty figures lists a figure for Lee's losses at Antietam as exceeding 11,200. More than Carman, Sears, Murfin, Harsh or anyone who has studied the battle has stated. On what is he basing this figure? The article says his book is extensively documented. Can anyone furnish said notes for the Antietam casualties? I am reallly, really, curious. Would love to know what he found that those of us who spent years looking at Antietam have overlooked.
