Great site! (But then you know I&#039;d say that didn&#039;t you?) For anyone interested in the French Military or uniforms in particular, I would recommend the following:

L&#039;Armee Francaise: An Illustrated History of the French Army, 1790-1885, by Detaille
Uniforms of the World: A Compendium of Army, Navy, And Air Force Uniforms 1700-1937, by Knotel, Knotel &amp; Sieg

I enjoyed Royle&#039;s &quot;Crimea. &quot; It&#039;s the best one-volume treatment of the war I&#039;ve read.
