Had not known Tom Lubbock had been on Longstreet’s staff. He is also noted for recommending the site of Lubbock for a federal penal colony. I man could escape and be seen running for days. Yall come by and see The Witfield / Ross Texas Cavalry Brigade site. Holly always sang a little flat in choir. When I saw him in Hawaii in 1958 he was muched changed and on key. By the way after 1955 they changed the name of the high school to Tom S. Lubbock from plain ‘ol Lubbock.
