I&#039;ll have more on this later, but if you have your colleciton of &lt;em&gt;Civil War Regiments&lt;/em&gt; handy, look for the one with Brian Pohanka&#039;s edit of the letter(s) of a member of the 11th (Vol 5, #4), and pay particular attention to footnote #4.  You can also read about the uniform on the web link I provided, and in McAfee&#039;s little book which is probably sewn into the lining of your jacket ;-)]]></description>

At First Manassas many removed their jackets &amp; fought in their fireman-style red shirts. However, there was little uniformity in the outfit of the Fire Zouave.
